As announced in the Railway Budjet 2011-12, a superfast train will be introduced between Villupuram and Purulia with effect from April 21 2012.
Train 22606 Villupuram Purulia Superfast Express will leave Villupurm (VM) on every Saturday at 10.40 and reach Purulia (PRR) on every sunday at 23.10. In the return Direction, Train Number 22605 Purulia Villupuram Superfast Express will leave Purulia (PRR) on every Monday at 10.35 and arrive at Villupuram (VM) on every Tuesday at 23.00.
These trains will stop at Thirukkoyilur, Thiruvannamalai, Arni Road, Vellore Cantt., Katpadi Jn., Tiruttani, Puttur, Renigunta Jn. Gudur Jn., Nellore, Ongole, Vijayawada Jn., Eluru, Rajahmundry, Visakhapatnam Jn., Vizianagaram Jn., Brahmapur, Khurda Road Jn., Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Jajpur Keonjhar Road, Balasore, Belda, Hijili, Midnapore, Bishnupur, Bankura & Adra on both the sides.
This Train serves as another link from Visakhapatnam to Tirupati (RENIGUNTA).
